No one wanted the service to end
nor the coffin to leave….
She was so alive in the words spoken in the music so boldly played
memories so beautifully broken in the prayers said
as if God were there The little girl smiles at her red-eyed dad Does he see her eyes in theirs
But it did. Today I mourn the losses -all of them As I watch the song bird shivering for Spring A young mother, a little boy praying, an almost daughter, a birthday father Death be proud, done nonetheless .
